Monsieur l'ours

My desire is to honor the beauty and unique qualities of woods, particularly those of the boreal forest that surrounds me. My curiosity about how things are made evolved into a passion for creation—I'm now in my home studio, building functional, beautiful, and durable objects.

My Story: A Dialogue Between Craft and Tech

My love for the tangible began in a woodworking school, where I first discovered the magnificent woods of the boreal forest. This passion for working with my hands and building things from the ground up coexists with my professional career as an information systems specialist. This unique duality—a mind for technology and a heart for craftsmanship—is the core of who I am. It's the engine behind everything I create: an ongoing dialogue between "tech" and "craft." I am constantly driven by curiosity and a desire to explore how these two seemingly disparate worlds can inform and elevate one another.

My Craft: The Soul of the Boreal Forest

For as long as I can remember, I have been working with my hands, and that lifelong experience is reflected in the quality of every product I make. In my home studio, each item is meticulously crafted with care and attention. I personally select every piece of locally sourced solid wood, sometimes incorporating aluminum or epoxy to create a compelling modern accent. My projects are created with a subtle blend of craftsmanship and modernity, using traditional woodworking techniques alongside custom-built machine-tools. The pieces are then refined with sanding, and finished with food-grade oil and beeswax to protect the wood and your health. This is my commitment to quality, a promise of a job well done.

My Vision: To Share and To Inspire

Your satisfaction is my priority, and it's a testament to my belief in honest, quality material and dedicated craftsmanship. By creating objects that are both durable and resistant to the elements and the passage of time, I hope to offer you something that is more than a product. I hope to offer you a connection—to nature, to art, and to beauty.
